Swiftpoint Z2

I love my Swiftpoint Z2. It is as advertised and all the buttons are easy to use. The knuckle buttons are a staple for me when I play games and for regular use such as copying, pasting, changing tabs and windows etc. I did have an issue with my first mouse where the tracking was not working on a lot if surfaces. Customer support was incredibly helpful and immediately sent me a new one which now works perfectly. I can’t stress enough how important it is to have a company that stands behind their product and will make things right. If you are thinking about getting this, just do it.

Great work and Gaming mouse

I do work in GIS/Surveying and 3D mapping and modeling and this mouse is incredible. The ergonomics are really nice especially since I have large hands along with all the extra buttons, I use the left/right tilt to switch between multiple desktops for work. Might even get a second one to keep at the office. Also a great gaming mouse, I use it mostly for FPS like tarkov where I have the tilt bound to in game leaning or BF4 where the tilt changes my optic or zeroing. Software is also great but I do wish it had a feature similar to Razers “Hypershift” button mapping and a little more control over the RGB or some custom image uploads on the OLED. Other than those minor things I’ve had it for a few months now and it’s a 5/5 very happy with my purchase, the case is also really nice.

Upgrade From the G502

As the title suggests, I swapped to this mouse from a Logitech G502, an excellent and extremely popular gaming mouse. Taking the plunge on a mouse as pricey as a Z2 with very little to go off of in terms of the history of this company, especially given that this was a Kickstarter project, was certainly a daunting proposition.

Based on what I saw, this looked a bit gimmicky and potentially not a meaningful upgrade in most situations. I also saw nothing that really signified what level of build quality it might have. Fortunately for me and for Swiftpoint, Logitech's atrocious software frustrated me enough that I was willing to try something exotic, given the lack of decent alternatives to the G502.

And overall, this is definitely an upgrade. The build quality is certainly not standout per se, but it definitely feels equally sturdy and reliable when compared to other high end mice. Previously I had used MadCatz mice a couple of times and was expecting that level of poor quality so this is definitely a cut above that. (No squeaky cheap plastic here!)

The buttons all feel good and responsive, the vibration (that I didn't know it had) is a super nice feature, the tilt options work great, surprisingly, and it glides super nicely. The weight is roughly about the same as my G502 with all of its weights put in, though this mouse doesn't have optional weights, and is a bit bigger. I find it slightly less comfortable in my hand but given its utility its not concerning.

The software is excellent. I had one issue with it when I first started using it where if my monitor turned off, due to its power button not putting it in standby mode, the software would bug out and not display fully on my screen. It would basically scale past the window size and the only way to fix it was to completely shut down the app and restart. This problem appears to have gone away though.

Customizing this mouse's features is really simple and reliable but there's no end to the options it has. Configuration mode on the mouse was confusing at first because I didn't even know it existed initially. Once I realized what it was and how it worked, it opened up a whole new world because I no longer needed a dedicated DPI button.

I haven't found a ton of reasons to use the pressure sensitivity options or tilt functions yet, and the calibration was confusing at first, but when everything else works so well, having extra options that I haven't found a use for in all applications yet isn't a downside to me.

At this stage the only thing I miss from my G502 is the scroll wheel lockout button, which I assume I've never seen on another mouse because its probably patented. If so, that should be a crime cause that is an excellent feature for any mouse.

Overall, this mouse is an excellent, if pricey, option. I was able to program it to handle every function in BG3 that I'd normally use my keyboard for, and as such it works far better than the controller scheme for that game. Great work!

Its good

I like it my only issue is the rubber grips for the thumb came lose but I just scratched them up a bit and super glued them back and haven't had an issue since. It has replaced my logitech g502 as my new favorite mouse

My favorite mouse

The Z2 is the best mouse I have used to date. From it's great ergonomics to it's amazing customizability, i haven't found another mouse that can do it all so well.

A Great CAD / Productivity Mouse

I work in a metrology lab, so I do a lot of CAD work (both in my inspection software, and design software). Most of the time I have my left hand on either the 3D mouse, or the controller of my CMM, so it's inefficient to move my hand back to the keyboard every time I need to hold down shift or ctrl to rotate the model; additionally, if I'm stepping through my inspection code I need to hit enter every time my machine goes to make a move. Being able to map all these as well as some Excel macros to this thing has been great. I bought the mouse as a replacement for my Roccat Leadr (since Turtle Beach decided to buy them up and discontinue their good mice). I have not been disappointed.

Best Mouse Ever

Great performance, industry leading functionality, questionable design.

The performance and functionality of this mouse speaks for itself but some of the design choices leave a bit to be desired. I don't really understand the thought behind the thumb buttons being placed top/bottom rather than front/back. Instead of adding to usability it kinda takes away from it because its certainly not easier or faster than the front/back buttons that are standard on every other mouse. Feels like it was only for the sake of being different. There's also the convex shape on the right-hand side of the mouse, instead of being concave like it is on the left-hand side. That combined with the mostly ineffective rubber pads had me strategically placing Lizard Skin hockey grip tape on both sides of the mouse, mostly over the existing rubber pads. I don't want to be too harsh as I do believe this is a great product with commendable and unique features but the aforementioned cons are too big for me to ignore.

Was skeptical at first

Took some time getting used to but it was definitely worth it. Love the sensor and customizability. Great for my animation workflow and freeing up my keyboard hand with macros when I'm gaming. Overall a pretty awesome mouse.

After 2 months of using the z2

Z2 review after 2 months of use. The package box was nice had extra mounts & buttons. The thumb & pinky rest make the mouse feel really comfortable. The top two buttons on the left side are easy to tap without having to stretch to reach them. I love being able to add a keybind to the tilt function. I have the long keys on it right now & I love them. I play alot of wow so being able to have 6 keybinds on the top of the mouse that I can hit with apart of my finger instead of having to actually lift my finger up & move it is awesome. I like that the buttons can actually be set to two different keys one to push & one to pull. The two side buttons line up we'll with thumb placement for easy use, I do wish they where just a little bit wider. The software has two modes simple which is very straightforward & easy to use. The advanced is nice for custom macro keybinds. Honestly for gaming, daily use & the price it's a great mouse. The only thing I wish it had is two horizontal buttons on the side but with being able to had keybinds to the tilt function does help not having two extra horizontal side buttons. Honestly this mouse can truly be customized just for about any online or pc game you play.

Wonderful product

The mouse is very adjustable and works wonderfully. You can adjust everything with the software and really can't name any disadvantages so far. The mouse is perfect for gaming (including fps shooters) and for working.

Perfectly Splendid

Having to work from home and go into the office occasionally, I found bringing my Z2 mouse with me very convenient. The case is wonderfully sturdy and holds all of the attachments securely. I don't have to worry about it getting damaged in my bag anymore.

Definitely Worth it

I probably wouldn't have bought this if I wasn't drunk at the time and thinking it would give me godlike powers in tarkov just because the price does feel high but i have to say I'm really glad i did. Although it didn't give me the ability to chad my way through raids it turn out to be much more comfortable in my hand than my old mouse (a G502 Hero) and the button layout has got me back in to mobas and doing better than ever before because it feels much more intuitive. Anyway, long story short, I'm really happy with the mouse and cant see myself going back to anything else.

I have been bought and purchased Swiftpoint products over several years. I feel that the value for money aspect has greatly reduced. When the product was first launched, it provided a USB Bluetooth dongle/ charger, now it just comes with a charger and you need to purchase the Bluetooth dongle separately. It also used to come with a foldable mouse pad and a magnetic stick-on the laptops and they have since removed those items from the product. The Bluetooth connection of the mouse directly with the laptop is also not stable dropping connection after a few months of use which eventually I had to purchase the separate Bluetooth dongle. The mouse doesn’t hold the charge as well, depleting the charger after the weekend. What started as a great product (in kick starter) unfortunately has lost its innovative steam, becoming a corporate cost-cutting company. Sadly this will be my last purchase from the company. There are now newer competitive alternatives available in the market.

Terrible Shipping

Like most adults I have a job and cannot simply leave my job to meet up with a delivery driver without warning. Well, I guess that's what Swiftpoint expects me to do since their delivery service (UniUni, never heard of it until now and it wasn't specified until after purchase) was incapable of delivering to an Airforce base. I'm going to try and reschedule the delivery but after 5 minutes of research my hopes aren't too high that I'll be successful. I'll update this review if I do manage to get it, but until then I feel others should be aware of this issue.

Seeing as I'm paying almost $200 for a mouse I would've been happy to pay a little more for a known postal service like USPS, UPS, or even FedEx, but instead I'm left hoping whatever this service is doesn't wind up scamming me.

Hi Jacob, thanks for the review and sorry to hear about your shipping experience. The team are working on getting this sorted for you asap and have reached out privately with an update and will keep you posted as we get more updates from our fulfilment team. Sorry again for the inconvenience and we'll do everything we can to make sure you get your mouse as soon as we can!

Great little productivity mouse

I've owned several Swiftpoint products over the years. Z1, Z2, ProPoint and now the GoPoint. Solid products all around that perform as expected. I'm using the GoPoint for my employees laptops and they much prefer it to using track pads. Bluetooth connectivity is solid and the charge lasts for days.
